The past 3 years have been a wonderful experience for all and we are using 2017 to launch Big Water Creative Arts, Inc. so that the future Mackinac Island Songwriters Workshop can have greater impact.
The good news is we are building the educational portion of our nonprofit for kids in schools, libraries, art centers and will be offering 1 day workshop models for kids and for adults. Starting April 10, 2017, we are teaching our second installment of “Songwriting 101” at the Crooked Tree Art Center in Petoskey, MI. This 6 week course is open to grades 6-12 and the curriculum covers basic song structure, ghost writing, song subject building and more. For more information you can go to https://www.crookedtree.org/event/song-writing-101-beyond-grades-6-12/.
We will continue to keep you updated on events through newsletters and encourage you to follow Big Water Creative Arts, Inc. on our Facebook page www.facebook/bigwatercreativearts. Please like us, share us and help us spread the word supporting and educating kids and adults in the art of songwriting! We are currently building our new website for BWCA (which will be www.bigwatercreativearts.org) and will let you know when it is up and running.
Spring is a time of rebirth and rebuilding and it is in this spirit we move forward with Big Water Creative Arts! Stay tuned!
